We think that the majority of health products online are just a bunch of garbage with fancy labels trying to sell trendy items for a quick buck. We make the best products we possibly can to help humans eat like humans. We believe that animal-based nutrition is the cornerstone for proper human health. We exist to make adhering to this lifestyle easy and delicious.

We also are passionate proponents of regenerative agriculture. Regenerative agriculture is the only way we can produce food indefinitely. The vast majority of how we currently produce food is destroying our ecosystems which we depend on for survival. The more we support regenerative agriculture, the more we support a food system that can continue to feed people in the future. There is no other option.

Eating a hyper local and seasonal diet is the best way to approach nutrition, but the reality is most food is purchased in packaged form. We aim to drive a wedge into that industry by sourcing from the best farms, making the best products, and displacing those that cut corners and sell lies.

About the Job

You’ll work closely with the founders, Dr. Paul Saladino and Dr. Anthony Gustin (founded Heart & Soil, Perfect Keto, Equip Foods), alongside our GM, Matt Hayes, to build a financially healthy, data-driven, profit-focused machine.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the overall Finance function at Lineage, including: 1) the Strategic / Growth focus areas of financial planning and forecasting, KPI tracking, data reporting and strategic planning; and 2) the Operational / Compliance Focus of accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, audit/tax compliance and related operational areas.

📓 Operational/Compliance Focus

1. Daily Accounting Oversight: Manages accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
2. Financial Reporting: Works with bookkeeping team to generate GAAP-compliant financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in a timely manner
3. Month/Year-End Close: Leads the closing processes, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
4. Tax Compliance: Files sales and income taxes; ensures multi-state nexus compliance.
5. Internal Controls: Safeguards assets, prevents fraud, and enforces accounting policies.
6. Inventory Accounting: Works with Supply Chain & Ops to track COGS, inventory and demand forecasts
7. Team Management: Supervises third-party bookkeeping, tax, and FP&A teams
8. Cash Flow Monitoring: Tracks daily liquidity and short-term cash needs.
9. Accounting System Management: Optimizes and manages Quickbooks, Ramp and related accounting / expense management tools
10. Audit Coordination: Liaises with external auditors for annual reviews.

📊 Strategic/Growth Focus

1. Strategic Planning: Manages and oversees long-term financial roadmaps / needs for the business
2. FP&A Leadership: Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to inform current and future growth initiatives
3. Growth Analytics: Evaluates marketing efficiency metrics and unit economics to help prioritize initiatives
4. Real-time KPI Tracking: Monitors key financial and operating health indicators like contribution margin, burn rate, EBITDA, etc. in real-time dashboards
5. Capital Optimization: Ensures optimal use of cash, debt and tax mitigation strategies
6. Cross-Department Collaboration: Partners with Marketing, Biz Ops, and Supply Chan teams on daily operating metrics / performance
7. Data Visualization - Helps oversee the development and management of KPI dashboards using spreadsheets and BI dashboards
8. Pricing Strategy: Models financial impact of pricing, promotions, discounts, subscriptions, etc.
9. Reporting & Investor Relations - Supports leadership in the development of monthly / quarterly / annual Operating Plans and Investor Updates
